An advanced beginner or intermediate level knitting pattern for a reindeer and a Santa-style coat. Skills required include knit, purl, increasing, decreasing, stockinette and garter stitch, picking up stitches, and some very simple intarsia. All pieces are knit flat and then seamed, but most can be modified to be knit in the round if you prefer.

The finished toy is 9” (23 cm) tall.

Toy Materials: 40 g of worsted weight yarn in brown, 10 g of worsted weight yarn in dark brown, 5 g of worsted weight yarn in white, pair of 4 mm (US size 6) knitting needles, two 4 mm dpns (for antlers), pair of 8 mm black safety eyes or buttons, yarn to embroider face, stuffing, tapestry needle
