Straight needles of size 3.5 mm and 5 mm
Circular needles of size 3.5 mm
Tapestry needle

Gauge:
My gauge for this was 21 stitches=10 cm and 30 rows=10 cm
Materials:
Merino wool or Merino wool mixtures (3 balls/ 50g=105 m of RED color and 1 ball/ 50g=105 m of WHITE color)
Choose a yarn suitable for needles of size 3 – 4 mm. such as a quality sock yarn.
I recommend a soft, flexible yarn, closely spun, for warmth and comfort for the neck.
I used material : 50% Merino/50% Acrylic for neck part and 100% Acrylic for rest of the garment (red and white)

**** If you would like a “fun fur” hem on your cap, you could knit in a strand of white “eyelash” or “fur” yarn with your white yarn.
If you are going to do this, I would recommend using a light weight yarn in white, so the hem will not be too bulky. You can knit this material in garter stitch.

Size: For about 1-2 year old child (size for child arround 4 and over)
