Sapling
The hat is knit from the stem down and uses a variety of techniques: knitting, purling, working in the round, yarn overs, a variety of lifted increases, decreases, and EZ’s sewn cast off.
The pattern is not written for any specific way of knitting (DPN’s, Magic Loop, 2 Circulars, etc) so you can easily use your favorite method without translation. However, 4 stitch markers are necessary whatever your method.
Minimal yardage required. The hat uses far less than one skein which makes for great stash busting of that errant, leftover yarn.
Thanks to kindly email, I’ve learned about a small error in the printed version of the pattern. Row 21 of the 0-6 month size should end with ”…k3, k2tog,” and not “k1, k2tog.”
