Three different braid cables grace the simple shape of this cozy cardigan; the body is worked as one piece to the armholes and then is separated for working the back and front sections independently. The shoulders are joined with saddles featuring the smallest braid cable, which continues down the entire sleeve. The sleeves are picked up at the armholes and worked downward. The “sailor” collar is worked separately and is then sewn on. The zipper closing and knitted cord edges make for a clean, complimentary finish to the very busy fabric. Bulky yarn and brief row repeats on the cables lend the knitter a surprisingly quick and fun project. Women’s sizes 28 (32, 36, 40, 44, 48, 52).
