The inspiration for this combination shawl, wrap, and cape came when my niece Sarah was expecting her first baby. I wanted to create something lacy and beautiful, with coverage for nursing, that would be breathable, cozy in the cold, and cool in the heat. It also needed to be easy to care for.

This shawl is designed to be worn multiple ways: buttoned at the front, creating a V-neck poncho; unbuttoned and open at the front, or belted to create a vest; buttoned at the shoulder and arm, creating a romantic side sweep (this orientation is perfect for nursing babies); or wrapped in layers around the neck or body, as desired. This shawl also doubles as a cozy wrap for baby.

Shawl shown here in colorway The Briny Seas.
