This pretty lace shawl is the perfect combination of simple and interesting. It starts at the neck, and the slightly-more-than-half circle shape is created with rows of yarn-overs. Two sets of diamond motifs accent the lower border, and are an easy introduction to lace knitting and chart reading. The diamond lace pattern is both written out and charted.

GAUGE
4” = 18 sts and 32 rows in Stocking Stitch, blocked
Note: yarns shown usually knit at 24-27 sts to 4” in Stocking Stitch, but are knit on a larger needle here and then blocked out firmly.
