The Sarum Tunic is knit bottom up and worked in-the-round to the underarm. Begin with a lacey cast-on hem and work the yoke with an unusual shoulder shaping. This shoulder shaping was “un-vented” by Elizabeth Zimmermann which she called “nalgar” (“raglan” backwards, just like the shaping). This is a very cool way to knit a sweater as the shoulder shaping also creates the arms of the sweater. No picking up for the sleeves! Neat.
