Simple crocheted strawberry. There’s no required gauge for this project, but you should use whatever crochet hook works comfortably with your yarn and creates a fairly dense fabric - ideally, the stuffing will not show through. The strawberries will be life-size: the small one about 1¼“ (3.2 cm) tall, and the large one about 1½“ (3.8 cm) tall.

Required supplies

• 4 mm (G) crochet hook
• worsted weight yarn in two colours: for each small strawberry, about 4 yards (3.7 metres) of red and about 42” (110 cm) of green; for each large strawberry, about 6 yards (5.5 metres) of red and about 46” (120 cm) of green
• yarn needle
• scissors
• small amount of stuffing (such as wool batting, polyester fibrefill, scrap yarn, scrap fabric, cotton balls)
• one stitch marker
