So sorry for the typo.

October is “Cancer Awareness” Month and I was asked if I would make a pattern as a fund raiser for the Susan G. Koman Foundation,

so…

I have not one, but two new patterns that will be released in their entirety on October 1st for this event, “Save the Ta-Ta’s” and “Margaret” (please see separate pattern for info). link text

You can buy the patterns individually for $5 each or together for $8 just be sure to put them both in your cart at the same time and while we will NOT be doing either of these shawls as a KAL, we will have “stickied” threads where we can chat and post our pics on the Criminal Knits group. link text

25% of all sales through the month of October will be donated on behalf of “Criminal Knits” to the Susan G. Koman Foundation as we do our part to raise awareness that we all should be screened for cancer’s that when caught in time no longer need to kill us.

Materials: Save the Ta-Ta’s uses 560 yards of worsted weight yarn and size 9 circs and…

Kate of Dragonfly Fibers has made us our very own colorway called… Save the Ta-Ta’s which is available right now in her shop. (click on the link) link text Remember to order 2 skeins when ordering from her if you are ordering the yarn in worsted weight.

Both shawls are the same shape, just different patterns and sizes… made up of 3 triangles (instead of the 2 we usually see in shawls and shawlettes) this construction allows the shawls to drape gracefully over our shoulders and stay in place.

Gauge: In worsted weight and size 9 needles in stockinette: 3 1/2 to 4 stitches per inch fully blocked

Size: In worsted weight yarn your shawl will measure approx. 22” from the back of your neck to the bottom edge

Both patterns have charts (yes, hand drawn as always!) and written directions.
