This is a very basic single crochet blanket. The pattern is created by using two strands and alternating colors on one strand every four rows. If you prefer to vary the size of the stripes, just change the number of rows you do before changing colors. I chose to weave ends in as I went along. If you don’t you will need a tapestry needle to weave in your ends.

I wanted to make a blanket about 36” wide because I wanted it to fit all the way across a crib but I only made it 30” long because I didn’t want it to be too big for small babies.

I used 4 skeins of each color (gray, dark turquoise, cool mint, coral, white) for the blanket and 1 skein (color of your choice) for the trim. I arranged the colors in the order listed above but you may choose a different color pattern.
