I designed this pattern especially for handpainted yarn. I wanted something to breakup the colors and move them
around. Scales was born.
I was also interested in playing with the placement of the gusset decreases and patterning in this area. I loved so
many of the toe-up socks that had patterning on the gusset. This was a fun pattern to create and to knit.
