A super cute, warm and cosy hat with a Stretchy Star crown and easy half-double crochet band. Front post stitches coax the band into soft scallops, and provide a great place to tuck some tiny embellishments. I used little crochet bows (included in the pattern), but have provided suggestions for other types of embellishment.

Hat is worked top down in a spiral. A unique oval starting method provides an almost undetectable center to the crown, eliminating bumps.

Hat can be easily resized by increasing or decreasing crown rounds. (If resizing, be sure to adjust Band Round 1 to equal a multiple of 6 stitches.)

The free pattern, with phototutorial, can be found on my blog (link below). Thanks for viewing, and happy crocheting! :)
