This is a lovely quick and easy scarf from Inside Crochet magasine, issue number 4 (Oct/Nov 2009).

Any DK weight (UK) will do, but I reckon that you could make this in whatever yarn you have in stash, the thicker the yarn, the thicker and wider the scarf (and the fewer repeats to get the right length)

After setting up the foundation row, the scallop shell pattern is a repeat of only 2 rows, so easy to keep tabs on whilst watching telly!
