Scarlet Berry is a V-shaped shawl made of crochet motifs, using a join-as-you-go method which eliminates having to sew all the motifs together.

Variations of the fundamental hexagon motif are used in this design to shape the shawl without breaking the spectacular geometric pattern.

The size of the shawl can be adjusted to fit individual preferences by adding extra or crocheting fewer motif rows. There are 65 motifs in the suggested layout: 33 hexagon motifs and 32 partial motifs.

The pattern includes two additional layouts: a stole (rectangular shape) and a shawlette (kerchief shape).

Finished Size (Blocked)

Shawl: 71’’ (180cm) width, 28’’ (71cm) height
Stole: 71’’ (180cm) width, 22’’ (56cm) height
Shawlette: 71’’ (180cm) width, 22’’ (56cm) height

The measurements listed above are guidelines and you can make your shawl smaller or larger by changing the motif size or working fewer or extra motif rows.
