Yarn: Sock weight yarn in six colors.

B Onyx 85 yds
C Antler 50 yds
D Cactus Flower 290 yds

G Birkenstick 275 yds

Old Rusted Chair Sock –
F Last Call 70 yds

Needles: US 4 (3.5 mm) 32” circular needles
Stitch markers
Tapestry needle

GAUGE
22 sts and 34 rows = 4” in Stockinette stitch after blocking.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
After blocking, and depending on how aggressively you
block:
Wingspan: Approx. 72”
Length at center: Approx. 32”

CONSTRUCTION NOTE
This shawl is knit from the center back neck down to the
lower edge.

STITCHES, ABBREVIATIONS & TERMS
A, B, C, ETC – Indicates color used
K – Knit
K3TOG – Knit 3 sts together
M1L - Make 1 Left: Insert left needle, from front to back,
under strand of yarn which runs between next st on left
needle and last st on right needle; knit this st through back
loop. 1 st increased.
M1R - Make 1 Right: Insert left needle, from back to front,
under strand of yarn which runs between next st on left
needle and last st on right needle; knit this st through front
loop. 1 st increased.
MP – Make poppcorn: Knit next st, but do not drop from left needle, yarn over, knit into same st again, drop from left
needle, slip first st and yarn over over last st knit.
P – Purl
PM – Place marker
RS – Right side
REP – Repeat
SL – Slip
SM – Slip marker
SSSK – Slip 3 sts individually as if to knit, then knit those 3
