This dishcloth was designed while meditating on the last meeting between Sts. Scholastica & Benedict. The mountains at the bottom of the dishcloth are those where they met, outside the gates of Monte Cassino. As their time together grew short, and St. Benedict refused to stay, “the holy virgin had shed a flood of tears as she leaned her head upon the table, and the cloudless sky poured down the wished-for rain.” The body of the cloth represents the powerful tears of St. Scholastica and the rain she prayed for.

The dishcloth wrapper (second picture) is included with the pattern. It makes a lovely presentation for a special gift!
