School Days was designed for the need of a scarf knit in school or team colors for the upcoming fall season. That said, it’s also a great crescent shawl that can be knit for anyone who likes their neck to be warm at the football game or sitting by the fire pit.

This stylish scarf is super fun and easy to knit with lots of easy garter stitch and short row shaping, and it produces a scarf which keeps the wearer warm without extra bulk. Don’t worry – short rows in garter stitch are as easy as they come! The wraps don’t show so there is no need to pick them up. And it knits up in one weekend making it a perfect gift knit!

For this quick TV or travel knit, you could also use team colors, scraps, or whatever two colors you like together! This is a crescent-ish shawl that is primarily shaped with short rows and made up of both skinny and fat stripes. No purling needed!
