PDF knitting pattern for a pair of fingerless mitts/gloves with a Scottie dog on the front of each mitt. The palms of the mitts are plain.

The main yarn used for the mitts in the photograph was Yeoman Yarns Sport 4ply in dark grey. The Scottie is cream, with a red collar and black eye and nose.

Any 4ply yarn could be used for these gloves.

The motifs are knitted using the intarsia method, but the mitts could be knitted in plain stocking stitch and the dogs added afterwards using duplicate stitch/Swiss darning.

Charts for both left and right mitt are included, together with typed knitting instructions.

The approximate measurements for the mitts are: 3.5” wide (unstretched and not counting the thumb), 5” long from top of rib to cast-off edge and 1” long rib. The mitts could be made slightly larger or smaller by altering the size of the needles
