Meet Scrappy! He’s the sweetest little dinosaur and the perfect small size, but not too small. He works up super quick - less than a day for me - and only used 1/2 of cake of yarn and some scraps. I used Bernat Pop for him, but any cake or solid color will do. I include my materials in the pattern. This pattern was updated May 2022 to go with a Caron Latte Cakes Bundle.

He worked up for me to be just over 14”

You can change the colors and make a girl dino too!

If you check out my patterns you will see that Scrappy’s whole family is in the making! You can currently find Pea, Strawberry and Lady Violet. I have started this dinosaur family with 4 different cakes of Bernat Pop! I used half a cake for Pea, an entire cake plus one colorway for Lady Violet, and almost an entire cake for Strawberrry. For Scrappy, I have used ALL the leftover cake bit and balls. This is a good scrap yarn project.

Scrappy is a written-out pattern with photos and tutorials and a good beginner crochet pattern. It is a 10-page downloadable pdf.

I do have lots of tips and tricks and show you where/what round I have everything placed.

If you have amigurumi knowledge and know how to work in the round - ex. 6,12,18,24 etc with increases and decreases you won’t have any trouble.

I am here all to help and support you in any way I can after you download my pattern.

I would love to see your dino made from this pattern so please tag me on IG @theburgundybasket #scrappydinosaur
