This is a cute Pixie hat designed for my daughter. It can be made with or without a tail and the tail can be as long or as short as you like. Uses yarn of all weights and sizes, in fact the more different weights you have the better it looks! A great pattern for using up scraps of yarn that you can’t bear to throw out. :)

Gauge is only important for the fit of the band and the hat can be modified by checking the fit of your chain around your head.
Gauge: 14 sc/dc/tr sts over 4ins with worsted weight yarn and an H hook, this is only important for the band. You can check your chain around your head as well for fit.

Uses worsted weight/10ply yarn for the band and anything goes for the rest.
100mts/110yds worsted weight/10ply yarn (for band) and scraps of yarn in a variety of colours and weight for the rest. 200 to 300mts/220 – 330yds
