Sea anemone, about 5 inches long, with fringe tentacles. Includes pattern for a tiny clownfish which is attached to the anemone by a matching color tether.

The project features two types of tentacles: fringe in a contrasting color, and loop stitch worked while knitting in the main color.

The pattern includes a diagram of construction; two options for shaping (oval or rectangular); and instructions for forming the Loop Stitch.

This pattern uses picked-up stitches and has NO SEAMS and NO ENDS TO WEAVE IN on the anemone. That’s your reward for putting up with the loop stitch. :)

This project uses a small amount (less than one skein) of the MC, and scrap amounts of CC1 tentacles and CC2 orange for the clownfish.

The stripes on the clownfish are made of felt and sewn on with needle and thread. The eye is made as a knot in black thread.
