A shawl inspired by the song, “Coast”, by Blue Roses,in turn inspired by the wild, romantic East Coast of England. Two versions are included. The DK version makes a good-sized,cosy wrap and uses 655yds/600m. and the Sock-Yarn version makes a shoulder shawl, perfect for Spring and Autumn days. For sock yarn, 460yds/420m.are required. The designs incorporate 3 different lace patterns, depicting sea-birds flying, lightning flashes and lighthouse beams and turbulent seas with crashing waves. There are 2 options for the edging, a scalloped edge or a gentle wavy edge. This shawl can be knitted in any yarn weight you choose for different effects.
