Added for clarity on this pattern:: the XL size is for larger than normal noggins. We all know of someone that cannot find a hat to fit properly as they need bigger hats. With the stretch of the brim, the XL pattern will create a hat that will comfortably fit at least a 23-24” head, and it has extra length for the perfect fit. Because of the built in stretch, and depending on the yarn you use, the hat can stretch even more. The Worsted and Heavy Worsted versions will created a more snug, yet comfy, fit, while the Bulky version will create a non-rolled brim, very dense and heavy hat

I saw a hat a friend of mine was wearing, a store bought hat at that (gasp I know!!) and knew I needed to knit it for myself. This is my creation based on just a glance at hers, with my own mix

It is not an exact copy cat, but it is my version.

This hat is available in 3 different weights of yarn: Worsted, Heavy Worsted/Aran, and Bulky. Each pattern can be purchased separately or within an eBook here on Ravelry (which will save you some money to purchase the eBook).

A lot of testing has gone into all of the patterns and sizes, not just by me, but also by a good friend. (Thank you, Shaine!) However, if you find any errors or have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

The pattern is labeled as a beginner pattern as it uses Knits and Purls only. Each row makes a difference; the pattern is well written and detailed to give directions per row and repeats.

As I am using up my stash as much as possible, Aussi Wool is discontinued but can be substituted with any other Worsted Weight that meets the gauge.
