The Sea Turtle Brioche Pattern is a long cowl knit using 2 contrasting/coordinating colors of your choice. It is knit in the round on circular needles and is fully reversible with one side featuring the lighter color, and the other, the darker color. The pattern is formed from 2 separate Brioche Stitch patterns, with one of the patterns sandwiched in the middle between the first pattern on either side. I have “syncopated” or reversed the dominant color on each side in a couple of areas of the cowl, but you can choose to do the same or to keep the light side all light color dominant, and the dark side all dark color dominant. 42 inches in circumference, it is plenty long enough to wrap a couple times around your neck, and it is 12 inches in width. It is knit in fingering weight yarn with a total of about 800 yards, or 400 in each color. No blocking is necessary, and the pattern produces a very elastic cowl or scarf. Full written instructions and several video help links are included in the pattern.
