The sea turtle has always fascinated me. It lives entirely in the water, except when it’s time to lay eggs. The determination of the mothers to find a safe place for their babies to be born in the sand on the beach, even though it means they will have to struggle up onto land and spend anywhere from one to three hours digging a nest, is amazing! Even more incredible is how the newborn turtles are able to know which direction to go in order to get back to the sea!

Enjoy making this double knit Sea Turtle Potholder featuring the captivating turtle gliding through the ocean. If you’re unfamiliar with double knitting, this small potholder is a great way to learn this knitting technique. Both sides are the same, except with reversed colors. You’ll get the accomplishment of finishing a beautiful project and the confidence of adding a new skill to your knitting basket.

With this instantly downloadable PDF pattern, you’ll have all the help you need to get started!
