Welcome to my Sealtainn Square Shawl pattern. I have loved lace and shawls for most of my life and I didn’t realise that I was searching for Shetland Lace until I found it. Thoroughly captivated by the beautiful motifs and geometric designs designed and made by women on Shetland, I have been happily knitting and planning an epic shawl of my own design. I wanted to make something beautiful that I could pass on to my own daughter made in fine gossamer yarn, a true heirloom. I hope you enjoy knitting it as much
as I have.

I have also included a sampler square mini shawl to make as a swatch, if you are unfamiliar with the techniques involved
it’s a fun way to get acquainted with them! Afterwards you have a beautiful mini shawl that you could use as a doily, table centre piece or would look spectacular framed on the wall.

Happy knitting x
