I do not like sewing seams (even tiny ones), so I was determined to create a seamless baby bootie pattern.

Size: 3 ¾” – 4” inches long (adjustable to larger and smaller)

Gauge: 4 ½” - 5 sts x 9 rnds = 1inch in garter stitch; (7 rnds in stockinette stitch)

Materials:
1.25 oz. worsted weight yarn; acrylic or wool/acrylic blend
Size 7 (4.5mm) 29” or longer circular needle with smooth joins
Crochet hook size F or G for chain-stitch ties/laces
Hanging row counter, or stitch marker to indicate start/end of round

Notes:

  • For larger or smaller finished size, use size 8 or size 6 needles; can also CO 4 additional sts (adjust number of sts in instructions accordingly)
  • Bootie begins at sole and works up to ribbed cuff.
  • If preferred, replace crocheted chain-stitch laces with knit I-cords.
  • Each bootie takes 1 ½ - 2 hours to complete.
