Shawl is worked top down & can be made using any weight yarn & made to any size. Pattern uses both shells & fans, which are crocheted differently. Yardage requirement wildly varies, depending on how many repeats of each section the crocheter chooses to make, the weight of the yarn, along with how heavily blocked the finished shawl gets. Think of this design as a “choose your own adventure” shawl!

Pattern is rated intermediate, but is definitely within grasp of a “newer” crocheter - you just have to pay attention a
little!
