The lacy stitch pattern, in this perky beret, reminds me of the starfish I see while beach combing the tide pools of Discovery Park in Seattle. The stitch pattern has just enough complexity to keep you entertained but not enough to be considered difficult. Worked in organic fingering weight wool, the beret will keep your head warm, but it can also be worked in light weight cotton for the warmer summer months.
