This is a pattern for three seasonal leaf garlands - spring, autumn and winter - and nine matching decorations.

Each garland is knitted as a single piece (with frequent casting on and casting off) and can be made to any length you like. You can also mix and match leaf patterns and colours to build your own unique garlands.

The decorations are each about 4cm in size and can be easily modified to create new designs. The decorations include three motifs for Royal Eggs, a toadstool, an acorn, a pumpkin, two Scandi baubles and a pudding.

The garland patterns use 8-ply yarn (or two strands of 4-ply held together) and 3.25mm needles.

The decorations use 4-ply yarn and 2.75mm needles (4x DPNs).

There are no suggested brands of yarn for this pattern. Head to your favourite yarn store and buy according to colour. You might even be able to make it with scraps you have at home. You will need:

Garlands: about 50gm per metre of garland
Decorations: various scraps of appropriate colours
