Simple to knit and a good project for a novice knitter ready to move onto basic lace and ruffles, this headband is inspired by leafy seaweed and bubbles in the surf. Works particularly well on unruly hair.

Mine took about half a 50g skein of dk wool, if your yarn is thicker you may need more, so best to allow for about 100m or thereabouts.

If the yarn you choose is stretchy, you may wish to go down a needle size or make the smaller size. This pattern works best in a yarn with good stitch definition and not too ‘busy’ a mix if you choose variagated shades.
