Things are starting to get serious so be sure to wear this THINKING CAP, which features a rolled brim, stripes and triple pom-poms.

Materials:
3 colors of worsted weight wool. In the example, I used Knit Picks Swish and Cascade 220. You’ll need about 130 yards of main color and 30-50 yards each of the embellishing colors (larger yardage for the pom-pom color).

16” circular needles, size US 7 (4.5 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge (I am a loose knitter so in the example, I used size US 6) and additional needles for small-diameter knitting (DPNs, a second circular or a long Magic Loop needle).

Gauge:
5.5 stitches/inch in stockinette stitch in the round.
Measurements:

Child-sized: 10” from unstretched bottom of brim to spot where pom poms are attached when measured flat. See guidelines in pattern for sizing up or down.
