Knitted from the top down in a cashmere/silk blend, this lovely cowl has ruching at the top that will trap warm air against your neck in even the chilliest weather. Subtle short-rows at the lower edge add enough fabric for full neck coverage. A lace edging is knitted onto the live stitches of the cowl, then the ends are grafted together at the back. You can use this cowl format to knit wearable swatches while practicing the other lace patterns in this book.
