A beautiful bison and silk blend yarn inspired this rectangular design. For the lace, knit and purl stitches are combined to create a secret garden on the opposite side. Purled flowers nestle between undulating leaves on one side while knit blossoms balance on long stems on the other. The lace is framed by a narrow garter stitch border, and an option is included to add picots to the ends.

Since there are knit and purl stitches on each of the 28 pattern rows, this lace is challenging and not easily memorized. It repeats over 12 stitches, so the size can be customized. Designed for lace weight yarns, it also looks great in fingering and Shetland/sport/DK weights.
