Segue is a heavily patterned, ie ribbed/cabled, toe-up sock design with a beautifully shaped heel that incorporates the pattern from the beginning {base} of the heel decreases. The pattern was born out of my love for the traditional Fleegle Heel with its diagonal decreases and snug, ankle slimming fit!! This heel works well with a top down patterned sock design, but when trying to apply this to work toe-up, it creates the problem of knitting the pattern back and forth for the heel decreases, and then making sure that the pattern repeats all fall into place once the work begins in the round for the leg. I feel I have created a way of doing just that, albeit with a little extra thought and effort. If you are prepared to trust the instructions, I’m sure you’ll find that this works, and is much easier than first thought.

The pattern features two size options - 66 and 74 stitches.

The stitch gauge given for pattern is for 2.00mm needles.

Many thanks to Bek for her help in editing my documents, Christie, Dawn, Hilary, and Heather for their help test knitting this design. Without such help, these patterns would never see the light of day!!
