The hat is worked from the wrong side, to give you as few stitches to purl as possible.
This means that the cable is worked in purl stitches and is only visible on the inside of the hat, while the work is in progress. This makes for a lovely little reveal at the end, when the hat is turned over.
The hat can be worked in a shorter, more snug version, or in a longer, more slouchy version.

Signe Strømgaard has built on a family tradition and now publishes two annual hats when fall approaches - one for kids and one for adults.

The idea is to welcome the new knitting year and to celebrate the woollen seasons to come with a fun and wearable little project.
