This Mystery Crochet-A-Long was designed for the 2017 Best Little Yarn Crawl in Texas but is open to everyone on Ravelry.

The 2017 Best Little Yarn Crawl MCAL is a lightweight two color stole. I’ve included a picture of the yarns I’ve chosen for myself - the pattern used two skeins of each color. Color A (on the right) is a fingering weight, variegated yarn with speckles (700 yds used.) Color B (left) is a DK weight tonal color that matches the speckles in Color A (600 yds used.) I’m using a size E 3.50mm hook.

I look forward to seeing the different colors other participants choose!

Without giving too much away, I would suggest choosing two yarn colors that are a variegated and a solid/tonal or two complementary solids/tonals. I don’t think two variegated colors will work as well, you may lose some visibility on the detail.

Four weekly clues will be released on the following dates:

NOTE: the Best Little Yarn Crawl in Texas used to be known as the Hill Country Yarn Crawl.

Please be sure to use the Best Little Yarn Crawl MCAL image as your first picture on your project page - we don’t want to spoil the mystery before the last clue is published! ;)

This is my first design for an MCAL and I’m really excited to hear from the participants!
