I love how EY Select’s Arenaria fades from dark to light--just like a sunrise! This easy, cozy shawl starts at the neck and uses yarn-over increases to develop its triangle shape. If you enjoy quick knits and non-fussy patterns, you will love making this shawl! Make it smaller or larger by subtracting or adding pattern repeats.

I recommend knitting this shawl loosely, especially if you are using a chainette construction yarn, like Arenaria. Looser knitting will produce a shawl with much better drape.

My gauge for this shawl was about 2.5 sts/inch, after blocking. To fully open up the yarn overs, I soaked this shawl in cold water for about 30 minutes, and pinned it out to dry to the finished measurements:
19” deep from center point
55” wingspan

Although you may knit this shawl on a larger needle (US 11), keep in mind that you will use all if not slightly more than 1 skein of Arenaria to complete it.
