Yarn-only kits for this hat are available at KristeninStitches.com.

This month’s hat was inspired by the yarn! When I was at Stitches West earlier this year, I rand into the amazing folks at Anzula and told them about my project. As I was looking around their booth, this colorway called Cedar jumped out at me. I loved the rusty red-orange shade. Anzula graciously agreed to work with me and asked if I could do a hat for their local-to-them park - Sequoia National Park in eastern California, just south of Yosemite. Of course, I HAD to grant their wish! The color actually couldn’t be more perfect! As I was designing this hat, I kept seeing tree rings. Sequoia trees are really old, and you age the tree by counting its rings. This hat looks like tree rings to me, and it’s super easy to knit. I hope you enjoy it!
