This pattern is available for free.

For all those Browncoats (aka Firefly fans) - or anyone, really - who’d like to be wrapped in Serenity in any form!

The reveal is the Chinese characters for the word “serenity”. You can repeat this pattern (all 200 rows of it!) up and down the scarf as you please, or just have one at each end.

8 skeins of DK weight yarn (200 rows x2 for the pattern at both ends, about 600?! rows for the middle/neck section)

If you don’t like charts, here is the written out version.

Even though this is a free pattern, please consider donating to Equality Now. If it weren’t for them or Firefly/Serenity, I probably wouldn’t have designed this in the first place. Thank you.

I have corrected the chart link! It should now point to the actual chart. The link to the written out chart is also still valid. Please let me know if you have questions!

You also must also reverse the order of the stitches for each row (i.e., Row 198 reversed will now read: P30, K3, P24, etc.) or else the other end of the scarf will be a mirror image and not identical to the first pattern.
