This one skein shawl was designed specifically to show off a variegated or multi color skein! It has a simple garter stitch body, with a serrated edge that is knitted on as you go. Then it is finished with an applied border in the same stitch. It is super simple, and really allows all the different colors to shine! Additionally, it is reversible, so you don’t have to worry about an unsightly wrong side showing!

Materials

  • 435 yards of fingering weight yarn - Shown in: Unraveled Designs - Galaxy Fingering - Star-Spangled Sally Ride
  • US 5 circular needle (at least 32”) or needle to obtain gauge
  • Stitch Markers
  • Yarn Needle

Measurements

Onesize: 76 inches along the top edge, and 15 inches at the widest point.

Gauge
20 sts and 40 rows = 4 inches in garter stitch, after blocking.

Gauge is not critical to this project. Make sure you are happy with the fabric, and be prepared to conserve approximately 20% (20 grams) of your total yarn for the border!
