4 ply yarn and a D hook to make furniture for an 11 1/2” fashion doll.

Size 10 crochet thread and a #7 hook to make 1” to 1’ scale furniture (a standard miniature doll house scale). Gauge is 9 single crochet, 9 rows, 1”.

Settee uses cardboard or plastic, pins to mark position, bonded quilt batting, beans to fill base. Page 6.

Yardage and supplies are given for entire booklet’s worth of miniature furniture (2 dining chairs), dining table; pet basket; arm chair; foot stool; settee; end table; small, medium, and tall planters; floor lamp; coffee table; dressing table; vanity stool; bed; table lamp; large and small oval rugs; and round rug.

  • Two 8-ounce skeins of Red Heart 4 ply or 1 big ball of white size 10 thread
  • One small skein of 4-ply yarn or one ball of size 10 thread in each of the following colors: bright rose, lime green, light purple, light yellow, variegated to go with other colors (Red Heart 0310 used in models of book)
  • Small amount of fiberfill, small piece of thin bonded quilt batting
  • Package of white chenille stems
  • Thin white straws
  • Sturdy cardboard or heavy duty template plastic (available where quilting supplies are sold)
  • D or #7 hook, yarn needle
  • Two pieces 1” thick foam 7 x 12.25” for large bed
  • One piece 1” thick foam 7.25” x 4.5” for small bed
  • Two dozen assorted pink and rose ribbon roses
  • Heavy spray starch
  • Long corsage pins (for positioning pieces)
  • Small oval mirror for dresser 2” x 3”
  • Hot glue gun
