I designed this hat to match a Christmas coat I made for my daughter. See my blog post on this: http://www.knittedthoughts.com/2010/12/sewing-seeds-hat.html

The coat features a combo of double seed stitch and stockinette, so I made the hat as close a match as I could by using a 1x1 rib for the brim and double seed stitch for the head and crown decreases. The colorway I used here is Hollyberry.

The Result: A very quick knit (approximately 2-3 hours) and a stylish, TOTALLY REVERSIBLE HAT! It fits adults and older kids because it has a good bit of stretch! If you wanted to make it bigger, it could easily be increased by segments of 4 stitches!

GREAT FOR LAST MINUTE GIFTS!!!
