Beautiful result,well worth the effort but could have been made easier.
Pattern DIFFICULT to follow.
Various hand-spun yarns used with only stitch, not row, gauge given.
Sometimes number of rows given in instructions, sometimes a measurement. As neither form was comprehensive, these inconsistencies were frustrating and made the pattern harder to follow than was determined by the intrinsic nature of the design.
Also there was a contradiction between the needle-size/ gauge
given for the lining and the actual instruction in the pattern which, together with the partial gauge was very confusing - I wasn’t sure what I was meant to be trying to achieve.
