“THIS LOOSE, cap-sleeved top is ideal for layering,” says Mary Henderson. Its contemporary colourwork pattern was inspired by computer coding, and is worked in five shades of Jamieson & Smith’s Jumper Weight Shetland wool. The front and back ribs are worked separately and then joined to work in the round to the armhole. The garment is then split, with the back and front worked separately with increases at either end of the rows to form the cap sleeves. The front has shallow shaping for the neck. I-cord cast-offs finish the neckline and armholes.
