Shaggy is always there for Scooby-Doo, so when I thought about what Shaggy and Scooby’s patterns needed to be, I knew they needed to be similar and yet different. For Shaggy, I chose a nice braided cable that reminded me of good braided garlic bread. Shaggy and Scoob are always eating, so what better way to reflect that than through a cable named for food? I used both Shaggy’s shirt and Shaggy’s pant color for this hat. I started with a touch of the green and finished with the brown. I’ve also offered the hat in three different sizes and 3 different lengths. So, whether you prefer a beanie style hat or a slouchy hat, you will find instructions for both included here.

This pattern is meant for adventurous novice knitters to experienced knitters and all those in-between. Please read the entire pattern before beginning.

Also note that if you make both the Shaggy Scarf and the Shaggy Hat from the same 2 skeins, you might run out. This could happen if you choose the largest, longest hat, and the widest scarf. Please balance your selection to ensure you do not run out. The hat shown is a medium width and short length. The scarf is the 8 inch width.
