Shahrzad, the legendary character of “One Thousand and One Nights” tale, was a queen who told stories to the king so he wouldn’t execute her! She was a smart woman and if she ever wore a shawl, it should have been very beautiful. This is a shawl that I think she would have worn. It begins at the center of the neck and is increased at three points to get to the desired length and width. The central increases are placed in a way that create a lovely aspect to the shawl. A wonderful lace pattern with beads creates the shawl. I have added beads to the top edge also to make it worthy of the queen she was. Beads along the top edge adds to the beauty of the shawl and creates a more elegant look when the shawl is worn.
