MARLED FADE SCARF

Shale is a two-tone ribbed scarf with flirty tassels. By holding two strands of yarn together and switching colours throughout, you end up with two solid ends and a marled section in the middle.

Knit end to end, with tassels attached once the knitting is complete. Easy to customize width and/or length.

Shale is a pattern from the book Strand, which focuses on creating unique fabrics by combining multiple strands of yarn. This PDF also includes a Yarn Weight Combination Guide so you can put together your own yarns with ease, as well as Tips for Using Multiple Yarns so you don’t end up with a tangled mess. This project, and many of the other projects from Strand, are perfect for learning, experimenting and creating unique pieces you can knit again and again.
