These mitts match my Shallows Cowl/Scarf. The pattern is also available as part of a set that includes both the Shallows Cowl and Mitts.

Blocked Dimensions
7 inches/17.5 cm wide by 7.25 inches/18 cm long (before seaming, measured at widest point)

Level of difficulty: Advanced beginner.

Techniques: stockinette stitch, garter stitch, yarnovers, ssk, k2tog, placing beads, and seaming.

The mitts are knit flat and seamed, with an opening left at the side for the thumb. No dpns required.

Yardage: 135 yards of fingering weight yarn.

The stitch pattern is given in written form and in a chart.

The mitts require 16 #6 seed beads. The pattern includes instructions for placing beads.

The beads may be omitted: knit the stitch instead of placing a bead on it.
