V concludes the Shapes series! (Or does it?)

Knit this garterstitch shawl at any size, from a 330-ish-yard shawlette to a full-size wrap. Use handspun or scraps, or any yarn you prefer, as long as it’s suited to the end result of a comfortable shawl.

Materials:

  • 330-990 yards of Cascade Yarns Aegean Tweed, your own handspun, or any substitute shawl-suitable yarn
  • 1 48”circular needle in US5/3.75mm, or size needed for gauge
  • removable stitch markers
  • Tapestry needle

Gauge:
Any, or 20 sts and 40 rows in 4”/10cm in garter stitch—for sportweight-ish yarn, as shown.

Measurements:
Final measurements are up to you! An included schematic shows the rough shape.

Quick notes: you’ll probably see two samples for this project (from me) over time! The main one in greens is made from a chain-ply in merino wool and other fibers. The one with brown and blue will be single-ply yarns, mostly based on merino wool.
